Geared towards ages 2-5, but all ages welcome

An adult must be present at each household through the group time.

Ellsworth Community Music Institute (ECMI) is offering this class in partnership with Modulations Therapies and for NO CHARGE thanks to funding from the Maine Community Foundation and Maine Arts Commission, an independent state agency supported by the National Endowment for the Arts.

Free registration includes a prop kit (movement scarf, shaker, and rhythm sticks).

All classes to be held online via ZOOM.

Our Early Childhood Music and Movement groups give young children and their families opportunities to share music, explore sounds, and move their bodies while practicing important social/emotional skills and developing a foundation for learning and literacy. No musical experience is necessary.

Carla Tanguay, MA, MT-BC is a board certified music therapist with over 20 years of clinical experience and is also a member of the ECMI faculty. She believes that a child’s work is play, music provides opportunities to develop critical non-musical skills, and that music can help access and build upon the strengths of every child.
